![]() ![]() I hope the author will decide to continue this series in some way. For example, do the warriors find the artifacts? And what about the other characters- Paris, etc. Although I liked the main characters ending, I felt the author left a lot of loose ends with the story and its characters. ![]() The only thing that dissapointed me was the ending. I liked this story better than the second book, but think the first is still my favorite. I especially liked how the author created a strong, independent heroine and continued to follow Reeves's struggle with his loyalty to his friends versus his loyalty to Danika. As with the other books in this series, I liked the story and seeing how the other characters, and their relationships, turned out. And it tells the tale of Danika and Reeves, whose curse is the demon of pain. " This is the final book in the Lords of the Underworld Trilogy. I very much enjoyed this guilty pleasure read. " I was very much into this series by the time I got to this one. ![]() The mythology is very good in this series and is the main reason I am going to continue reading it. I felt so bad for Paris and wonder what's going to happen with him. I liked the relationship between Reyes and Danika, though there were some "eww" moments at time. It was just so slow moving it needed more action. ![]() " I liked this story better than the last one, it wasn't as good as I hoped. It was amusing at times when Ramie would talk like a thirty-seven year old but be in her eighteen year old body. Just the possibilities of thinking how would you do things differently if you went back in time are quite interesting. I was putting away books and read on the front cover: “What if your thirty-something self woke up in your eighteen-year-old body?” This appealed to me because I am in my thirties. She wakes up as an eighteen-year-old in her old bedroom at her parent’s house. When she is on a boat, she has an accident and goes overboard. How could centuries of chattel slavery and human bondage not qualify as false dealings with “our God”? For scholar of African American religious life Eddie Glaude, Jr., such stories continue to be told because they depend on a lie-perhaps the greatest one ever told. It begins with the New England Puritans and their city upon a hill, and it ends with their collective efforts to build a democracy in the proverbial wilderness. In many instances, the story seems to write itself. Traditional renderings of “America” typically begin with the idea that it can be concretely defined. ![]() 6/23/2023 0 Comments Gyo junji![]() ![]() The first horror manga I read by Ito was Uzumaki and I was blown away with the detail that was put into the manga. Having already read something of Ito’s, I had a basis of comparison when I started reading Gyo. On the other hand, if you love horror manga, then you must read this one! It was a great read and didn’t take too long to finish. Anyone who does not care for horror should not read this manga! I repeat: if you do not like horror, do not read this manga! I will not be held responsible for those who read this and are traumatized forever. This manga is an interesting read to be sure. Here is the creepiest masterpiece of horror manga ever from the creator of Uzumaki, Junji Ito. What is it?
